Google has reportedly reduced the size of its long-standing outsourcing contract with Indian IT giant HCLTech by approximately $50 million annually, marking another sign of how Artificial Intelligence is reshaping the global technology services industry. While the financial impact on HCLTech is expected to remain relatively small, industry experts believe the move reflects a much larger transformation in the way global enterprises are approaching outsourcing, automation, and software development.
For nearly a decade, HCLTech managed a significant portion of Google’s application development and engineering operations. Around 1,000 Employees to Be Redeployed
The contract reduction is not expected to result in large-scale layoffs.
